THESPIAN STATE 2009 was held April 22-26, 2009. 31 students from troupe 6299 participated. It was a great festival. Students participated in workshops, individual events competition, and the one act play festival. In the evening, students attended opening and closing ceremonies and mainstage productions. Everyone had a great time and did a wonderful job! The festival concluded with "thespian prom"...the annual dance!

The five Individual Events selected to compete at the STATE FESTIVAL are received the following ratings:
1. Monologue - Ryan Blood (good)
2. Solo Musical - Alexis Mativi (superior)
3. Solo Musical - Enid Ortiz (superior)
4. Duet Musical - Alexis Mativi/Enid Ortiz (excellent)
5. Large Group Musical - Colon and Company (excellent)
