The purpose of Friends for Alonso Theatre (FAT) is to provide financial and volunteer support to the Alonso High School Theatre Department teachers, students and actors for performances and productions presented to Alonso High School and its community.
The purpose of FAT is intended to increase the involvement of the community which Alonso High School serves. FAT will help raise funds that will improve and support the presentation of theatrical performances at Alonso High School and/or to promote activities of the Alonso High School Theatre Department.
FAT will assist the staff in providing volunteer assistance that would support the presentations and performances of the Alonso High School Theatre Department.
It is not the purpose of FAT to interfere with the selection of actors, presentations, or activities which are the sole responsibility of the teaching staff of Alonso High School.
FAT should derive its members from parents of students, students, interested community individuals and past parents or students of Alonso High School. All participants must acknowledge the purpose and responsibility of the administration, staff and those rules and policies governing the students and staff of Alonso High School and the policies of the Hillsborough County School Board.
FAT can help in fund raising, publicity, and volunteer assistance to increase participation, attendance, and awareness of the Alonso High School Theatre Department and its programs and activities.
