| URINETOWN recently participated in the District 9 Thespian One Act Play Competition held at the University of South Florida. Alonso High School, Troupe 6299, won the award of BEST PLAY and will be representing District 9 at the STATE FESTIVAL in March. In addition to BEST PLAY, Alonso thespians also won:
ALL STAR CAST: Cristina Andersen BEST MINOR SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Sydney Weldon BEST MAJOR SUPPORTING ACTOR: Rey Rodriguez BEST ACTOR: Cameron Garrett
Urinetown went on to represent District 9 at the Florida State Thespian Festival. The play received straight superiors and a standing ovation from the entire audience.
